Overview
Jammu & Kashmir is the most scenic state in India which is located on the foothills of the breathtaking snowcapped Himalayas, Karakoram, Hindu Kush, and Pir Panjal mountain ranges. The state is surrounded with most alluring mountain peaks, gigantic glaciers, stunning lakes, rivers, lush green forests of tall pine trees and verdant meadows. So, we are pleased to offer the package the ‘Paradise on Earth Kashmir’, which will offer you a chance to visit the picturesque state of Jammu and Kashmir, including some of the most stunning places of the Kashmir valley such as Srinagar, Pahalgam, Gulmarg and Sonamarg along with wildlife safari into the Dachigam national park. The duration of the tour is 11 nights and 12 days.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Delhi
On reaching Delhi, meet our representative who will help you with an assisted transfer to your pre-booked hotel. Check in to the hotel. Rest day is free at leisure, you can explore the popular markets of Delhi and buy some souvenirs. Overnight stay in Delhi.
Day 2: Delhi - Srinagar(Sightseeing)
Today, after breakfast, transfer to the Delhi airport to catch your flight for Srinagar. Srinagar is located on the banks of the Jhelum River in Kashmir Valley, it is the summer capital of Jammu & Kashmir state. For years, Srinagar and its environs provided the most iconic images of a holiday in the hill for tourists, beautiful houseboats in Dal Lake, flowers in Mughal garden the red foliage of the chinar trees.
On arrival at Srinagar airport, you will meet our representative and transfer to houseboat. Check in to houseboat. Rest day is free at leisure, you can explore the stunning nearby locations at your own or roam around market and buy some authentic Kashmiri items. Overnight stay in the hotel. Afterwards, in the late hours of the afternoon, you will enjoy a Shikara ride on the Dal Lake. While cruising, visit the floating gardens, vegetable gardens, walnut woodcarving and paper machine making demonstration. Overnight stay in the houseboat.
Day 3: Srinagar (Sightseeing)
After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing tour of Srinagar which include the Mughal Gardens, Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh. All the gardens are situated on the banks of the Dal Lake with the Zabarwan hills in the background, you can enjoy the Shikara ride on the Dal Lake. En route the gardens, visit a carpet weaving factory. Overnight stay in the houseboat.
Day 4: Srinagar - Dachigam National Park(Sightseeing)
Today after breakfast, proceed for visiting the Dachigam national park, situated in the beautiful Dachigam valley. Declared as a national park in 1951, it was once the private hunting ground of the Maharaja of Kashmir. This national park is home to rare Kashmir stag (Hangul), musk deer as well as black and brown bears. Enjoy wildlife safari into at the park. Return back to evening for overnight stay at houseboat.
Day 5: Srinagar - Pahalgam(Sightseeing)
Post breakfast, the day is at leisure or you may go for walks or pony ride to many picturesque spots around Pahalgam (not included on the package). The must see attractions are such as Chandiwari, Aru Valley and Betaab Valley. The initiating point of Amarnath Yatra, Chandanwari is an extremely scenic picnic spot where you can also partake in sledge riding. One of the spectacular destination, Betaab Valley is known as a base camp site for trekking enthusiasts. Aru Valley is a stunning village, renowned for its peaceful surroundings, floral meadows and lakes. You can also enjoy the rafting in Lidder River. Late evening return to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 6: Pahalgam(Sightseeing)
After breakfast, proceed for a day-trip to Chandanwari. It is serene and one of the most popular destination, known for its natural beauty, streams and springs, this place is the starting point of the Amarnath Yatra. Once you reach there, treat your eyes with the surrounding beauty of a variety of flowers and snow-clad mountains. Return to your hotel for lunch. In the evening enjoy the Kashmiri Cultural Show. Overnight at hotel.
Day 7: Pahalgam
Post breakfast, proceed to Aru valley, a most beautiful place, enjoy being amidst the natural surroundings, take a leisure walk here. Return back to hotel in afternoon. Rest of the day is free for the activities of your interest or you can also trek down to Bysaran and Shikarga. Dinner and night stay in hotel.
Day 8: Pahalgam - Gulmarg
On the 8th day of your tour, have your breakfast and leave for visiting Gulmarg, also referred to as 'Meadow of Flowers'. Once you reach, check-in at your hotel enjoys a Gondola Ride that is a cable car ride. Also visit the green 18-hole golf course, the highest one in the world. Carry packed lunch. Enjoy taking a leisure walk. Dinner and night stay in the hotel.
Day 9: Gulmarg(Excursion Tour)
Post breakfast proceed to visit Khilanmarg, thousands of tourists visit this valley to indulge in snow adventures in winters and enjoy the view of colorful flowers spread throughout the area in spring. Enjoy the Gondola Cable Car Ride (Additional costs), runs up to Alpather via Kongdoori. These are the longest and highest cable cars in Asia.In the evening, return to the hotel. Dinner and stay overnight.
Day 10: Gulmarg - Srinagar
After breakfast, proceed to Srinagar. On arrival, check into your houseboat. After freshening up, set out for a Shikara ride, where you are going to cruise along the floating gardens. Also visit other attractions such as Lotus Gardens, Kabooter Khana and Char Chinar. Dinner and overnight stay in the houseboat.
Day 11: Srinagar - Sonamarg - Srinagar(Excursion Tour)
After breakfast, proceed for Sonmarg (the meadow of gold) which is one of the most popular tourist attraction in Kashmir, the town is located at the height of 2, 740 meter.it is most beautiful place of the Kashmir valley, there are rolling hills, craggy peaks, rushing streams, a glacier and a trout filled river which offers an amazing view against the Mountain ranges and refine sky.In the evening back to the houseboat for dinner and overnight stay in Srinagar.
Day 12: Srinagar - Delhi
In morning after breakfast at your hotel you will be driven back to Srinagar Airport to board your connecting flight for the onward journey with Sweet and Happy Memories.
